CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE: LUXEMBOURG EDITION
December is closing in, and the sun is nearly gone. One final trip is offered by our University, VU: Visiting Christmas markets in caves in Luxembourg? I had no idea there was a country named Luxembourg, so I am super intrigued. My program group decides on one final trip altogether, so get signed up for our bus ride to Luxembourg. Some background, Luxembourg dates back to the Holy Roman Empire. Luxembourg is the second-richest nation on Earth, having its residents earn twice as much as Americans and having one of the lowest GDP debt ratios. Some fun facts are that it is home to the restaurant with the largest wine list in the world, one of the cheapest places to drive, and in the EU, has the highest minimum wage of 2,313 per month. We felt like we were in a movie, a fantasy land that didn't feel like people actually lived there. The public transportation there is free, so we spend so much time exploring.
